In the 13th Five-Year Plan, biomass boilers and waste heat boilers are important renewable energy and recycling energy equipment. Just because the fuel of these boilers is very valuable: renewable, low cost, low pollution, high furnace efficiency, wide coverage and so on. At present, more and more provinces and cities have introduced subsidies for biomass boilers and subsidies for waste heat utilization boilers, which have opened up a good market prospect for the widespread application of biomass boilers and waste heat boilers.
There are many types of biomass fuels. Straw boilers, sugar aldehyde slag boilers, and palm shell boilers have appeared in the boiler market. The furnace types of these boilers are roughly the same, but the parameters of the boiler are different depending on the design of the fuel. The calculation of biomass boiler fuel consumption and the calculation of gas consumption of gas boilers and the calculation of coal consumption of coal-fired boilers are also determined by boiler efficiency and fuel calorific value.
Especially in terms of fuel calorific value, fuel is mostly used for combustion. It is impossible to release the condensation heat of water vapor because all kinds of exhaust gas temperatures exceed the condensation temperature of water vapor. Therefore, the low calorific value of fuel is generally used as the calculation basis in energy utilization. Different countries have different choices. Japan and North America are accustomed to high calorific value. China, the former Soviet Union, Germany and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development are converted by low calorific value, and some countries adopt both calorific values.
1. Calculation of consumption of biomass pellet fuel combustion boiler
Biomass furnace consumption per hour = 600,000 kcal * tonnage / fuel calorific value / boiler combustion efficiency
Take the problem of how much fuel is used in a 10 ton straw steam boiler for 1 hour. 1 ton is 600,000 kcal. Assuming that the fuel heat is 4000kcal and the boiler thermal efficiency is 85%, then a 10 ton biomass biomass pellet boiler needs a fuel quantity of 600000*10/4000/85% for 1 hour, which is about 1800kg/h.

Generally speaking, the calorific value of pellet fuel for agricultural raw materials is generally about 3000-4200 KCAL/KG, and that for forestry raw materials is generally higher about 4200-5000 KCAL/KG. After carbonization, the calorific value of forestry pellet fuel is not less than 7000KCAL/KG, which is completely comparable to the required calorific value of standard coal.
At present, the price of all kinds of biomass fuels is generally 600-900 yuan/ton. The fuel cost of a biomass briquette fuel boiler can be estimated according to the biomass fuel consumption per hour of the boiler.
